Coppell, Texas
With country living, tree-lined streets and magnificent homes situated on the edge of a bustling metropolitan area, Coppell, located adjacent to DFW International Airport, offers the best of both worlds. It may best be described as a growing city in the country.

As recently as 1980, Coppell was a quiet little town. It is till quiet, but no longer little. According to the 1990 Census, Coppell had grown 341 percent since 1980. Projections suggest that by the year 2020, the population of Coppell will reach approximately 40,000.

Despite the population growth, the city appears to be becoming more exclusive with the passage of time. In 1990, the median household income was $67,000. In 1997, that figure had jumped to $75,486. Coppell is also a young city, with a median age of 35.

While the commercial and light industrial sector is experiencing dynamic growth, Coppell also has set aside 297 acres of developed and future parkland in 14 park and recreational sites. The Coppell Independent School District is also experiencing tremendous gains, with enrollment figures increasing by about 15 percent annually since the mid-1980's.
